Austin Maddox allegedly began communicating with an undercover agent posing as a 14-year-old girl on April 28. Despite being informed of the girl’s age, Maddox expressed his intention to engage in sexual activity and arranged a meeting. He was arrested at the pre-arranged location by law enforcement officers.
Video footage released by the sheriff’s office shows Austin Maddox being tackled to the ground by an officer and initially resisting arrest until a K-9 unit intervened. Maddox faces four felony charges, including traveling to meet a minor for sex after using a computer to solicit a child. He is currently held in jail on a $300,000 bond. His attorney has not yet responded to requests for comment.
