In a significant development reported by North Dakota State Athletics, Bison Football Head Coach Matt Entz has decided to make a move to the FBS level. According to ESPN, Entz is slated to become the linebackers coach and assistant head coach for defense at the University of Southern California.

Since assuming the position of head coach in 2019, Entz has steered the program to an impressive record of 60-10. Under his guidance, the team clinched two FCS national championships in 2019 and 2021. His outstanding coaching prowess earned him the title of FCS Coach of the Year in both seasons when his program secured national championships.
