SEC Football Players of the Week: Week 11
Offensive SEC Player of the Week
JAYDEN DANIELS, LSU
Quarterback • Senior
San Bernardino, California
In the 52-35 victory over Florida, Jayden Daniels set an SEC record for total offense, amassing 606 yards. This performance made him the first player in FBS history to achieve 350 passing yards and 200 rushing yards in a single game, totaling 372 passing yards and 234 rushing yards.
He contributed to five touchdowns—three through passes and two through rushes. Daniels scored on runs of 85 and 51 yards, with the 85-yard run being the longest by a quarterback in LSU history. Notably, LSU accumulated 701 total yards, the third-highest in school history and the most ever yielded by a Florida defense. Furthermore, LSU achieved the rare feat of 300 rushing yards and 300 passing yards in an SEC game for the second time in history.
Defensive Player of the Week
JALEN MCLEOD, AUBURN
Linebacker • Junior
Washington, D.C.
In Auburn’s resounding 38-point road win against Arkansas, Jalen McLeod achieved career highs in tackles (nine), tackles for loss (4.0), and sacks (3.0), along with forcing a fumble. This outstanding performance marked him as the first Auburn player in at least the last 18 seasons to record 3.0 sacks, 4.0 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble in a single game.
McLeod’s defensive efforts were instrumental in holding Arkansas to three points in their first nine drives, which included five three-and-outs and two turnovers. Auburn’s defense has now held opponents to 15 or fewer points for three consecutive games, a feat not achieved since 2016.
Special Teams Player of the Week
KEIONTE SCOTT, AUBURN
Punt Returner • Junior
San Diego, California
Keionte Scott made a significant impact by returning a first-quarter punt 74 yards for a touchdown, putting Auburn ahead 14-0 within five minutes of the game.
This punt return marked Auburn’s first non-blocked punt return touchdown since 2014 and the first against an SEC opponent since 2013. The return, the third-longest in the league this season, ignited Auburn’s 21-point first quarter, their highest-scoring first quarter in an SEC game since 2017.
Offensive Lineman of the Week
CHARLES TURNER, LSU
Center • 5th Year Senior
Canton, Ohio
Charles Turner played a dominant role in an LSU offense that amassed 701 yards and 52 points in the victory over Florida. Turner allowed no sacks and contributed to LSU exceeding 300 yards in both rushing and passing for only the second time in an SEC game. Quarterback Jayden Daniels set an SEC record with 606 yards of total offense, aided by Turner’s contributions to a highly effective offensive unit. LSU’s rushing game, with a sixth consecutive game exceeding 200 yards, was particularly noteworthy.
Defensive Lineman of the Week
DARIUS ROBINSON, MISSOURI
Defensive Lineman • Graduate
Southfield, Michigan
Darius Robinson extended his impressive performance by recording a sack in his sixth consecutive game, bringing his season total to 6.5 sacks. In a game where Missouri held one of the nation’s most explosive offenses to seven points, Robinson added two tackles and a quarterback hurry. This defensive effort limited the opponent to under 83 rushing yards, a significant accomplishment considering the explosive nature of their offense.
Freshman of the Week
C.J. ALLEN, GEORGIA
Inside Linebacker • Freshman
Barnesville, Georgia
In his first start, C.J. Allen emerged as Georgia’s leading tackler with nine stops, including a sack. Filling in for Jamon Dumas-Johnson, Allen played a crucial role in containing the Ole Miss offense to only 17 points throughout four quarters.
