In an interview with “Tokyo Sports” [H/T Post Wrestling], Ogawa expressed his desire to venture into new territory and pursue endeavors that were not feasible within STARDOM’s framework.
“Yes, a new organization. I want to explore opportunities that are not feasible here at STARDOM/Bushiroad. There are several limitations due to our affiliation with a large corporation; we cannot explore every avenue,” Ogawa stated.
Addressing speculations about talent poaching, Rossy Ogawa refuted the claims and revealed that numerous wrestlers expressed interest in joining him upon hearing rumors of his new venture.

Rossy Ogawa, one of the co-founders of STARDOM, parted ways with the promotion after allegations of talent poaching surfaced. Despite initially tendering his resignation and planning to depart on February 18, his exit was expedited to February 4. According to a recent report by Dave Meltzer, Ogawa’s departure was inevitable due to conflicts with STARDOM’s owners, Bushiroad, regarding the company’s creative direction. Meltzer also disclosed that WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, Triple H, was aware of Ogawa’s exit.
AEW CEO Tony Khan expressed satisfaction with Rossy Ogawa dismissal from STARDOM and hinted at the possibility of Ogawa being associated with WWE. Meltzer suggested that AEW’s discontent with Ogawa stemmed from their desire to feature certain STARDOM stars on AEW programming, which was hindered by their commitments to the Japanese promotion. With Ogawa’s departure, AEW aims to potentially establish a partnership with STARDOM in the future.
